A visit to Canaan United Church of Zambia in Chombela, just outside Lusaka, to greet the Women's Christian Fellowship members and visit the Women's Projects including a school and a goat project (the 70 goats were out grazing).
The goat shelter...in 1999 Heifer International donated 200 goats to the women of Chombela which benefitted 50 families at the time, and the programme successfully continues to this day. With the profits the women have built a primary school / community centre.
Note the cinder block benches; the sand is plenty so concrete is inexpensive to make.
